Perfect Love Casts Out Fear

2 Timothy 1:7 declares that God has given us a spirit of fear but of power, of love, and of a sound mind. Fear is debilitating and keeps you from experiencing all that God has for you. Fear also creates torment and unrest. Fear kept Peter from walking on water. Fear kept the children of Israel from possessing the promise land. Fear kept Saul from conquering Goliath and persuaded Moses that he wasn't good enough to lead God's people. Fear caused the rich young ruler to hold on to his possessions instead of giving his all to God. When you eliminate fear from your mind and thoughts, you are free to pursue your passion and follow your dreams with a new level of faith and intention. If fear is keeping you from moving forward, stepping out, gaining your victory, or tormenting your mind, you need to realize that perfect love casts out fear. What is perfect love? It is knowing and embracing that Christ loves you and that His love is eternal, all-powerful, and all knowing. Because you are God's child you can rest assured that He is for you and working out all things for your highest good. Meditate on the promises of God to keep you safe and secure in Him.
