Recently I stumbled upon Bob Larson, an Christian minister and radio talk show host that I remember listening to over 20 years ago as a new Christian. I began watching many of his youtube videos on demon possession of which he now has a world-wide ministry. You may find some parts of these videos disturbing, but eye opening. In part one he discusses how demons gain possession or entrance into a person’s body. Larson says that people invite them in when they indulge in occult practices like quija boards, tarot cards, fortune tellers, as well as willful sin, voluntary inheritance, addiction, and abandonment. Yet surprising the most prevalent entrance to demonic possession in the U.S. is sexual abuse, even pornography.
In part 2 Larson explains that although occult practices and sexual abuse may be how demons gain entrance, it is because of strongholds that they stay. The most common strongholds according to Larson are fear, anger, depression, abuse, self-hatred, and rejection. In other words, demonic spirits find weaknesses in people’s lives and then use these weaknesses to inhabit them.
Also according to Larson, Christians can be just as demonically possessed as non-Christians. However, even if a Christian is not physically possessed, they can be oppressed, meaning demonic spiritual activity may be root of severe emotional issues.
The videos show Larson casting out demonic spirits in the authority of Jesus Christ by asking their names, whether they have legal authority to be there, how they gained entrance, and why they are still there before exorcizing them.

Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith,with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.”

I received the message below via email and just wanted to make it available for view with this article. The article that was sent me takes a different spin on Larson’s ministry. Whether someone would seek Larson out for any type of spiritual deliverance, I believe that the information in the videos provide some available information on how we unknowingly can open ourselves up to demonic influence. It’s so difficult to judge people’s hearts and motivates and scripture clearly tells us not to. Love hopes all things so it is my hope that his ministry is legitimate. I also know that the world and Christians are so quick to judge. I have watched several videos against Bob’s ministry concerning finances, etc., however, a ministry does need money to survive. In any event, I am providing this link for those interested in exploring this further. However, please don’t throw the baby out with the bath water. Demon possession is real and more prevalent than we realize. Take the truth and leave the rest alone. Blessings, Rhonda

I only share this with you because I know you’re a precious child of God’s & you share so much to help so many people. If I’ve offended you in sharing this then I’m sorry, but I do believe that children of God’s need to watch out for each other. When the Holy Spirit dwells in us, do you really think he would share the same space with demons?

thank you for these two posts on demonic entry…I have been looking for some here in my town who is actually legitimate, as far as christian counseling/meditation, do you have any listings of anyone here in fort worth texas?
